Putting a tourniquet around someone's neck to treat a head-wound is not a good long-term solution. Likewise, building a wall against Mexico will only cause a temporary bottleneck for desperate people, and in the long run, will be a symbol (President Trump's legacy) of selfishness and stopping the flow of prosperity. We should treat the cause, not just the symptom.
Spending money to build a wall against Mexico might well cost us the opportunity to help provide farm equipment, education, medical facilities, state-of-the-art factories, and economic and political stability needed by some Central American countries. If those countries were all safe and prosperous, they would come as tourists to the USA. That would be a high goal on par with President Kennedy's objective of safely landing men on the moon and returning to earth!
Having abundance as a peace motivator might be much more productive than endless war in the Middle-East and bickering with leaders of North-Korea, China, Russia, and even our allies.
– Maybe the news media would be proactive for progress and less confrontational.
– Maybe democrats and republicans would work together and have less back-stabbing of their “opponents.”
I propose abundance -- a great legacy.
